These are complete mariachi charts, not melody-and-chords lead sheets. Of the 398 arrangements in this category, 397 carry written trumpet parts, 386 include violin, 386 include guitarrón and 360 include vihuela — enough for a standard group to rehearse straight from the page instead of working a song out by ear.
How the parts are laid out
Each title downloads as a PDF that contains the separate parts, so every player reads their own line rather than everyone squinting at one score.
- Trumpets 1 and 2 — the harmonised calls and interludes that give a mariachi arrangement its shape, written a third or a sixth apart.
- Violins — normally in two or three lines, doubling the vocal melody and answering the trumpets.
- Guitarrón — the bass line in bass clef, octave-doubled as it is played.
- Vihuela and guitar — the mánico strumming pattern that drives the rhythm.
- Voice — the sung melody with lyrics underneath.

For school and university mariachi programs
Mariachi is taught for credit in hundreds of schools across Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Illinois, and directors usually need the same thing: a chart the whole group can read, covering the standard festival repertoire of rancheras, sones, huapangos and boleros. That is what this collection is. Titles are added regularly, and the ones with the most downloads sit at the top when you sort by popularity.
Getting the files
